My name is Kate Lukoyanova. My journey to Los Angeles began at age 21, when I immigrated from Russia to New York to pursue my dreams. (I speak both Russian and fluent English.) After exploring and enjoying the city for three years, I decided to move to LA.
My hospitality industry experience started at 18 when I worked at a local hotel in Russia. It was very fancy and standards were high, so I discovered how critical customer service is. I learned how to resolve issues with unhappy guests and leave them very satisfied despite any problems.
In New York, I worked in several great restaurants where I learned American customer service standards.
When I relocated to Los Angeles, my Airbnb hosting story began. Since 2016 I’ve hosted a range of listings in Downtown and Northeast LA. At first it was just a hobby, and I enjoyed helping my friends rent their places when they traveled. When I launched my career in real estate, I started learning how to get permits, which cities allowed short term rentals, what areas were appealing for listings and which were not as desirable.
My partner and I have now expanded our expertise beyond the Los Angeles area to Big Bear and the Desert.
Today, I not only know what areas are great for hosting, but what a listing should look like to attract more guests. If you are just starting, I can help you find a perfect investment property and turn it into a very profitable business. If you already have a place you’d like to rent out, I can evaluate a price, help you make adjustments if needed, and guide you in obtaining permits, setting the place up and getting it ready to go.
